Avery turns 1! Happy Birthday!

Our little Avery just turned one! I can't believe it, it went by so FAST!! I can still remember the day she came. She was such a fighter, she never gave up and kept her spirits high. It was a rough go with the delivery and it came with some sickness that you would have never known she had. She kept a smile on her face and an even bigger smile on everyone else. She has always had quite a personality, she knows what she wants and she knows what to do to get it, just like her dad! Avery has been such an amazing baby, easy you could say. From day one she has slept through the night, hardly cried and always made us smile and laugh. Its been amazing to see her grow and learn. At times you think you have caught up with her learning, but then she surprises us with something new. She has always been pretty independent. I never really taught the crawling or walking, she just decided on her own that she wanted to walk, she stood up and took a couple steps then next thing I knew she was trying to run before she was steady at walking. She is always keeping busy, finding new things to get into, keeping me on my toes. I have enjoyed every second I have had with Avery, watching her sleep, play, gag when she eats baby food, & so many smiles and little laughs. I love you Avery and I look forward to seeing you learn and grow to be a beautiful little lady, Just do it slow please!! Love you, love mommy

Fireworks!! We love the 4th!

One of my favorite holidays is the 4Th. I love my family's traditions. We go to our neighborhood breakfast way too early but, its tradition. We visit and eat fo a while, then follow up with the traditional parade. Some years we go boating but this year we went camping the days before so we decided to stay and hang out. For the night we hung at Meg and Aarons house ate pizza and made cotton candy. We all got a sugar high just intime to watch fireworks. Their house is in draper and has a great view of the valley so we watched from their deck. After we played with out own fireworks, which was a blast! Can't wait for next year!!

Our addiction to swimming

The best way to cool down from the hot sun is in the nice cool water of a POOL! We go to the pool at least two times a week. This week we had my family and the Poulsons up. It was a lot of fun. Carter and Avery are so cute together, they give each other kisses and loves. They both love the water, splashing, kicking, swimming around. Crew was pretty tired and hungry so he sat back a little. My favorite pic is of Avery picking her nose, I don't know where she got that, WESS! So if anyone is hot and wants to take a dip in the pool, give us a call!

Daddy's first Fathers day

For Wess' first Fathers day he chose to go camping up at Scofield, it was so much FUN!

First day they went fishing, I didnt go because i had to work. I heard it was a blast! When Wess caught his fish, he was a little weary, slimey fish are not his favorite. Later that night we made DELICIOUS campfire dinners, and fried up the fish we caught. My favorite that night was storys by the fire and SMORES.

That night going to bed was challenging. Avery had a real rough night, she didnt sleep well, I think it was a little cold and she had another tooth coming in. It was one of the roughest nights I have had with her. Next night was a lot better though.

It was an awesome weekend for an awesome Dad! Wess is such a great dad, Avery and I love him very much!

Megan & Aaron's big day!

I'm so happy for Megan, she is my best friend and I'm glad to see that she has found a companion to spend the rest of her life with. It was such a beautiful day, couldn't have been more perfect! It so much fun getting ready, she looked beautiful. Kyle got the privallage of walking her down the isle, he was such a gentlemen. He gave her to aaron but before he did he gave her a great big kiss, it was so cute! Our dad would have been proud. Congratulations Clements:)

Family swim time!!

Our pool just opened up and we are so excited! We took Av for the first time and she loved it. I know some babies are terrified of water but, Av was a little fish. The moment we got in she was kicking her feet trying to swim away. Yay for summer!!

Camping at Scofield

We went up to Scofield Memorial day weekend with my two sisters Natalie and her Husband Russ and their baby Whitney, and Megan with her soon to be husband Aaron. It was perfect weather! We had tin foil dinners and smores(my fav!). We also shot guns and went on some fun fourwheeler rides. Can't wait to go up again!! This was Avery's first time camping/fourwheeling. She loved everything about it, she was so good the whole weekend. She took fourwheel drives with dad and would laugh the whole time. One of the times all three of us got on, Wess in front and me in back with Av in the middle. She was having so much fun laughing looking at all the new things around. After a while I looked down and Av had fallen asleep. I tried to wake her up because it was hard to hold her but, she was limp,it actually scared me for a minute. We took her back to the trailor and she went down for a long nap. I think the vibration from the fourwheeler put her into a deep sleep. So now I know what to do if I can't ever get her to sleep.

My first Mother's day!!

I was so excited for Mothers day, my first one. I think its the best holiday of the year! I love being a Mom!! I have the best little girl, she makes me so happy all day. I can't wait untill she wakes in the morning to get my day started and im sad (sometimes, depends on the day) to

put her to bed. She surprises me all the time with how much she learns and grows. I can't wait to watch her grow up right before my eyes. I love you Avery!!

Getting my ears pierced :(

This picture is of Av right after we got her ears pierced. She wasn't too happy with Mom and Dad. We did it Mothers day weekend, while shopping for our mothers. We were having a hard time finding gifts, so Wess suggested we go and get her ears pierced. I agreed. We were both a little nervous but the employee assured us it was mostly the noise they are scared of. I had to hold her while Dad kept her entertained. They did both ears at the same time. Dad had the sucker ready for when she screamed. 3....2....1.... and she SCREAMED! only for about 10 seconds, saw the sucker and was a little better. Wess said she had the most mad face he'd seen. Kinda like the one you see in the pic. All in all I think she did really well. It was a great Mothers day Gift.

Sweat, Sweat, Sweat

This is Avery waking up from a nap! This girl sweats. When we drive in the car her hair will be soaked and it gets curly, like she just got a perm. I think she gets it from her Gammy from what I hear. So cute!

Road Trip!

We went on our first road trip with Av and with the Poulsens. The boys went to Milford for the turkey hunt and the girls went to St. George to get some relaxing time by the pool. Although things usually never end up how you would like......The boys started out the hunt with....should I say a

BLAST. Wess got real sick with the bad flu that was going around. They had to stop every couple minutes so he could throw up at both ends. Unfortunately he was the only one with a tag, so no one else could hunt. Us girls didn't have much luck either. It was pretty rainy the whole time, so our poolside plans were ruined. We still managed to get some shopping in, which was fun. But three babies away from home is a lot of work! Sam and I mostly stayed in the hotel. Better luck next time I guess!

First Tooth

Avery's first tooth

All Avery wanted for Christmas was her two front teeth. And surprisingly enough she got them! Well the first one. Wess was feeling around and felt a little bump and sure enough it was her first tooth. The second she got on New Years. We never knew they were coming in because she showed no signs, no drooling(which is weird being born of a drool master, Wess) She didnt cry like she was in pain. She was just calm as usual, weird right?

Currently Av has her four front teeth, which includes a little gap on her top two, which grandpa loves!

First Haircut

My First Hair cut!

I hated the thought of cutting Avery's hair, i want it to grow long and pretty, not to mention it was the hair she was born with. I finally had to break down and trim the front because she couldnt see. She sat so still, mesmorized at what was going on. We ended up cutting just a little off so she could see. She has such beautiful hair and she looks so cute:)

Since then we have had to cut her bangs a couple more times. Although it is geting very long in the back and we can almost put it in a little pony tail. I think its a lot more fun for her mom than it is for her.

Sleepy Head

Avery was watching Einsteins, obviously she was so interested that she fell asleep. It was so funny, she was relaxing with her head back in a deep sleep snoring real loud.

Wess and I were married May 5, 2006 in the Salt Lake temple.
